These external rankings act as a testament to how highly our students rate the quality of teaching and learning opportunities at Arts University Plymouth and the hard work of our talented community.”</p> <p>Students recently rated Arts University Plymouth as the <a href="https://www.aup.ac.uk/posts/another-excellent-year-for-arts-university-plymouth-in-the-national-student-survey-2024">top scoring Arts University in the UK</a> in the NSS 2024, in the same year that Arts University Plymouth was named <a href="https://www.aup.ac.uk/posts/arts-university-plymouth-celebrates-success-at-the-whatuni-student-choice-awards-2024">University of the Year</a> for South West England by students at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) 2024.</p>

<p dir="ltr">Film &amp; Photography subjects at Arts University Plymouth were ranked 16th out of 60 UK universities offering similar courses in the new Daily Mail University Guide.</p> <p dir="ltr">The Daily Mail University Guide also noted Arts University Plymouth’s innovative new partnerships with local organisations as helping to offer cutting-edge experiences and opportunities to students.</p> <p dir="ltr">Alastair McCall, Daily Mail University Guide Editor, said: “Two new partnerships with local businesses have upped Arts University Plymouth’s game by offering cutting-edge facilities and real-world work experiences to Arts University Plymouth students. The tie-up with Real Ideas has given students access to an immersive dome with the latest surround-sound speaker system and 360-degree high-resolution visuals. The facility is compatible with virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, animation, games software, spatial audio and recorded or live-action content. Students studying Arts University Plymouth's film and animation and games degrees have already created and screened content for the dome, and a new MA in immersive media is being launched to make use of the dome's facilities.<br /></p>

<p dir="ltr">“A second partnership has been forged with The Box, Plymouth's award-winning museum, art collection and gallery, which is also home to the South West Film and Television Archives. Students have the chance to engage with a contemporary museum, gallery and archive, as well as learn directly from the curators. Arts University Plymouth has also installed a new electrical furnace - the first of its kind in the UK in an educational setting - within its hot glass studios, giving students direct experience of using a device that is set to revolutionise the glass industry.”</p> <p dir="ltr">It’s not too late to join Arts University Plymouth this year, with places still available on Undergraduate courses to start as late as 7 October 2024 and Postgraduate courses until 14 October.
