Leon Tyler
<p>Leon Tyler graduated from Plymouth College of Art in 2010 with a BA (Hons) in Animation. Now Leon works for Blippar, the world’s leading augmented reality and image recognition app. They specialise in game design and development, augmented reality and also innovate new methods of interaction between users and technology. As the companies’ Creative Lead Leon manages the creative team as well as the interactive team.</p>
<p>“My position is predominantly in creativity and art direction. I conceptualise games, mockup designs, wireframe storyboards then work with our developers to create character sprites, user interface and UV texture map assets during build. I like to work very closely with all members of our team during build from concept to completion ensuring we always base our games on solid foundations and output at our highest, most exciting standard.”<br /><br />
Leon has great experience in casual game and AR concept design, asset design, art direction, leadership and critical decision making. Studying Animation at Plymouth College of art enabled Leon to develop expertise in creative technology.</p>
<p>“The College gave me the opportunity to spend my days studying art, improving my skills, honing my thinking for the creative industries. I was surrounded by extremely inspiring people, and being able to bounce concepts around and share skills was an essential part of my learning. I soon came to realise that being an artist is a viable career path.”</p>
<p>To date Leon has personal augmented reality and game design work published for many clients including Coca Cola, Disney, Warner Brothers, General Mills, PepsiCo, Anheuser Busch and Procter & Gamble.”</p>
