Nigel Godefroy
Member of the Finance and Estates Committee
<p dir="ltr">Nigel is a Chartered Accountant of considerable commercial and board level experience. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Nigel is currently a Board member of a variety of organisations. He is a long-standing Trustee and chair of the audit committee of Plymouth Marine Laboratory, a world leading research and innovation organisation working for ocean sustainability in the city. He is Chair of Plymouth City Centre Company, a Business Improvement District Company which represents 500 businesses mainly in the retail sector. Since 2014 Nigel has enjoyed being a Shadow Board Director/Advisory panel member of the Box, Plymouth’s Museum, art gallery and archive, a new creative and cultural space in the city. He is on the Board of the Dame Hannah Rogers Trust which provides care and support for adults with a range of disabilities and is also a Director of Destination Plymouth Limited. </p>
<p dir="ltr">In his Executive career Nigel was previously CEO of Sutton Harbour and was responsible for much of the regeneration of Plymouth’s waterfront around the Barbican area as well as running Plymouth and Newquay airports and the airline Air Southwest. During his time at the company, Sutton Harbour also developed Mount Gould Hospital and a number of doctor surgeries in the City as well as a number of development schemes elsewhere in the South west.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Nigel lives near Holbeton with his wife and two young boys enjoying spending time with them and their young Labrador ‘Bo’, often on the nearby Mothecombe beach.<br /></p>
